'In the Meantime...Something for Fun' Cont..

[Nicci]

“I...I’ll be down shortly..” Katie mumbled, holding on to the back of the chair to steady herself. “I have to make sure Jey...I mean Professor Garland has everything she needs for next lesson. I’ll see you again soon”.
Sadly watching Seth close the door behind him, Katie slumped away to the back of the room feeling awkward and uncomfortable.

[Chris]

Seth nodded as she mumbled she would be down shortly, and her having to see if things were ready for Professor Garland.

"See ya soon," he added before closing the door behind him. He headed towards the stairwell, in the meantime, placing the locket around his neck, and letting it settle underneath his shirt and robes. It felt like a fitting place to have it. He smiled a bit, and started making his way down the stairs.

[Nicci]

“I dunno..” Ylana piped in “I kinda want to agree with Peter..But...”. She paused, noticing the look on their team captain’s face and shrunk back into her seat.
“She didn’t want to explain fully why just that she’d rather not be the person responsible for emotionally brining down the team...” William began, taken back slightly by Peter’s reply. “But it looks like something has already beaten her too it...”.
Glancing around at the team around him, if they wanted to team build then that’s what he’d give them. Maybe then they’d be more inclined to think about themselves as a whole..

“You want reinforcement exercises then...pitch seven o’clock, fully kitted up and I expect you up in the air by time I get there. I will see to it that you have all the equipment you’ll need ready for you this afternoon. Someone will need to inform Seth”.
William waited for a short confirming answer from the others before taking his broomstick in hand and preparing himself to leave the table.

Grumbling under her breath, Ylana had secretly hoped to use her spare evening to work on her Transfigurations essay now he’d have them doing laps of the quidditch stadium.

[Chris]

Peter saw Will's look and turned to Alex and gave the o.O look. Turning back, Alex spoke up, "I understand if she doesn't want to, and respect that." Peter nodded at Ylana's suggestion. 'This could be interesting,' he thought to himself. 'Hopefully we're back in time. Bright-side, he wouldn't kill us...'

Seth came down stairs and entered the Great Hall. He saw William talking to the troops, and wondered what he was talking about. Walking over, he spoke up, "Did I miss anything?"

Alex caught sight of Seth as he came through the doors, and waved to him. "Speaking of Seth...," added, Alex with a smile.

[Jazzie C]

Gen did a bit of an internal eye roll, she too had been hoping she could study for Prof G's transfiguration paper, but she was new to the team, she could hardly skip practice. she hoped that not all practices would be called on an impromtu basis, but she knew that it must have just been today as they needed team building excercises. 'Well that should be fun.' she said, smiling, hesitantly. She wondered about Wills, he seemed upset, and she wondered if she should say anything, but decided against it. Gen was glad that Kalina was going to help with her transfig paper, she'd need all the help she could get.

She smiled as Seth appeared through the doors joined them, and went back to listening.

[Nicci]

“They’ll fill you in...” William replied walking past Seth, giving him a partial wave with his right hand. “I’ll see you all later.

Slightly discontented, he left the Gryffindor table and wandered back towards Juliet sitting alone. There was no doubt that she would spotted Seth as he entered the room and although he was now quite anxious to get things rolling after calling an impromptu quidditch session he couldn’t just leave the hall without saying anything to her.

Placing his free hand on the table, he gave Juliet a warm smile and apologised for his absence.

[Chris]

Seth heard William say that the others would fill him in, and turned to his friends and perked up when Will mentioned see us all later. "See us later?" Alex nodded and said, "Quidditch practice tonight. 7pm."

Peter leaned in, and said, "I'd like to look for the tree sometime this afternoon. Hopefully we'll be back by practice time tonight."

[Nicci]

“Oh so we’re going then?” Ylana called out in a rather loud whisper across the table whilst leaning forwards. “I don’t think it would really matter if we’re a bit late...we’re..What.. nearly ALL the team he can’t drop everyone from Saturday’s practice right?”.
Grinning excitedly, Ylana nudged Gen. “Wills tries to act strict and sensible, but it’s all for show..You’ll be made to do loop the loops until you get nauseous if he’s feeling really mean”

“Everything alright Seth?” Ylana asked, looking up as Seth prepared to take a seat.

[Jazzie C]

Lia turned to her new friend. 'Look hey, i didnt get chance, but thank you for helping me out. with everything. everything moves fast around here, so anyway...you ever need a flying pal...i'm only a shout away.' She said, smiling. She was really grateful that her friend was going to help her out with her studies and wished there was something she could do about the others knowing she had quit the team.

'So...where to next? what have i not seen? and ew. midget PDA...' she looked away from a young couple, slightly disgusted as they walked by.

Gen laughed along. 'He does seem a little scary.' She said smiling at her new teammates. she wasnt taking Kalina's place, and she knew that, so why did she still feel a little like she was encroaching on her territory? Still, she didnt want to let go now that she had it.

[Chris]

Peter nodded and whispered, "I'd like to." Alex chuckled, and said, "I wouldn't call Will a teddy bear, but he's not that scary." Seth heard Ylana's question and nodded. "I think so." He continued as he took a seat, at a softer voice, "Juliet and I are taking a break. Not trying to take it too hard though. How are you doing?" Seeing as his friends were well into their meal, Seth took the moment after he asked Ylana a question to get a bit of food.

[Nicci]

As Seth replied, Ylana gave a pained expression and wished she’d kept her mouth closed. It hadn’t been quite the response she had been expecting but at least he sounded calm about it.
Sinking back into her chair, she felt awkward. Maybe the team building exercises later in the evening would be just what they all needed to rekindle their maturing friendships.
“I’m fine thank you...I’m really sorry to hear that though” she replied trying to give him a hopeful smile.

Kalina giggled at Lia’s abbreviation but ended it with a girly ‘awww’. Young love didn’t just present itself to everyone and besides the younger year students were always small and adorable in Kalina’s eyes.

“The library isn’t too far ahead now..” she spoke, lifting up a tapestry on the wall to reveal a hidden doorway. “This will take us right around the corner from where we need to go, the tunnel ahead will serve you well when you have an armful of books to get all the way across the castle”.

Entering into the torch lit tunnel, the small pale flames flickered in their holdings as Kalina watched their shadows appear on the dusty brick wall.
“You don’t have to thank me for anything” she called back to Lia “Maybe it’s I who should be thanking you. You’ve really helped me keep my mind of Alex and even sitting with them was actually bearable....well if William hadn’t dropped in”.

'He's a funny fellow is William.' Lia said, watching out for the route they were taking. 'Seemed sad to see you off the team though i must admit, he didnt exactly ask for new members in the most tactful way. You must miss it.' she added, referring to the flying. 'A girl like you i bet you brought your broom with you. We could go have a bit of a fly in the evening. Just for fun.' She grinned at Kalina.

Lia really wanted to see this kid fly, and she watched her face for a response, hoping that she'd say yes. Lia had been itching to get into the sky all day. She loved flying. She fiddled with her ring absently and walked along quietly beside Kal.

[Nicci]

Kalina rolled her eyes at Lia’s comment about William. “I think he did it to get a reaction...” she began, brushing a cobweb aside. “I wasn’t going to give him one in front of the others though not when they were so delighted with Gen.” She was glad that her friend had also picked up on the Quidditch captain’s lack of tact, but hoped he had still kept her personal reasoning for quitting the team to himself.

Frowning she continued to lead Lia down the narrow passageway. “I do miss it..” Kalina mumbled “But I don’t really feel it’s worth it..I don’t even know if I fit in with them any....”. Pausing, she turned back to Lia grinning in the shadows “You’re really itching to fly aren’t you?”

Chuckling at Lia nodding slyly, Kalina playfully sighed and slumped down her shoulders “I suppose...no one should be out there until the weekend, so you’ll get the place to yourself....Just once though. You know what it reminds me of.....”.

'Oh come on.' Lia laughed. 'You know you want to, after all, the company is amazing.' She struck a cheesy pose and waggled her finger downwards, like a diva. 'I will persuade you to join me up there, and you know it!' She said, determinedly.

'I'll bet the rest of the team will miss you. Even though Gen's jumped right in for a spot, they're excited, but they'll realise how much they miss you after the first match, I'd bet my hat, but it's a very nice hat.' She said, grinning.
