Sup. Thought I'd open the chat thread XD

Ok so I thought about it and was apprehensive at first, I love ITM it's just become an extra limb to me over the last four years or so. It would be difficult to let it go but I know how complex the ten+ characters are in the first week of term let alone anywhere down the line for new people to get involved. This is how the OoTP thread came about, it's a side plot spin off where we moved away from Hogwarts but kept the magical theme in a more adult world. It was fresh and different and although we only have progressed through one day on there, Tommy and I found we loved our characters but it was hard to keep things going alone but luckily we are still in a enclosed scene so we could round that off and start a fresh new day for everyone to join.

Faced with a grief of losing ITM and a reluctance for starting back on the drawing board it hit me...an idea to combine the two. What would everyone think about the new thread being set September 1990.
Why then you ask? This is the final year of school for Heath and Sporus who together are the foundation for the split of the OoTP in the future thread 22 years later. Nell has been at Hogwarts roughly a year depending on Tommy. Bill is still very young and Clarke likely has only just been born but their parents may still be around if Chris or Lozzy want to explore their current characters histories or for everyone not involved in OoTP thread and wants to be we could do past and present at the same time.

.........................did I mention that it has a time line and not too many plot holes ^^ woop

This is what Tommy and I had so far: (I included Heath's parents and Tommy still needs to add a bit about Nell's present like when she went to Europe and met Damien). It's still a mystery to us who the current head of the OoTP and what they really do.


Timeline:
1947 – Dianna & Mayne Born
1957/8 - Dianna & Mayne start Hogwarts
1964/5 – Dianna & Mayne graduate from Hogwarts
- Dianna becomes an employee at the Owl Post Office
- Mayne starts training to be a Hit Wizard for the Ministry’s Law Enforcement
1962 – 1968 Mayne works & trains at the Ministry
1968/9- Dianna & Mayne Marry
1970’s – Dumbledore founds 1st Order of the Phoenix. Voldemort rises to power
1972/73 - Dianna & Mayne have Heath @26. Mayne leaves Dianna & young Heath and becomes a Death Eater
1973/74 - Nell is born.
1980 - Nell's family flee Britain after the deaths of the McKinnon family seeking refuge in continental europe.
1981 – 1st Order of the Phoenix Dissolved. Voldemort loses power/ Harry lives
1984 – Heath & Sporus start Hogwarts
1985 - Nell starts Durmstrang
1988 - Bill Born
1989 - Nell's family return to Britain/Nell transfers to Hogwarts
1991 - Heath & Sporus graduate from Hogwarts
1992 – Heath meets Evangeline/ Nell graduates from Hogwarts/Clarke born.
1995 - Heath & Evangeline Marry
1995 – Harry & the 2nd Order of the Phoenix forms
1995/6 – Heath’s son is born? / Evangeline Killed. ITM characters are born.
1997 – Albus Dumbledore Dies
1998 – Kingsley Shacklebolt steps down as leader of OOTP at the end of the 2nd Wizarding War. New leader takes it into their own hands.
2006 – ITM Characters start Hogwarts
2012 – CURRENT ITM TIME IN PLOT
2013 – ITM Characters graduate from Hogwarts

I see her being a chaser. Wait - the gryffindor team seems pretty full already. Aww well.

I dunno, initially I gave Sporus the full glory with the Quidditch but maybe Nell can charm Heath to at least practice with her is he doesn't play. With their frowned upon rival house friendship....I can't actually wait!!!
There is an unnamed Chaser on the Gryffindor team so that could be Nell it still works.

Also I think my only flashback in OOTP should be easy to change if you want H&N to have met each other in the year previous.

It could now read:
November that year had been one of the chilliest experienced at Hogwarts, the house elves had been on constant watch to keep every lit fire stoked and roaring to its fullest. This hadn’t stopped many of the female population though pulling out their house scarves and mittens early and wearing them every moment of the day around the castle.

Rubbing his rough hands together for warmth before jamming them into his robe pockets, Heath paced the length of the emptying third floor corridors on his way towards the library. This was his given patrol route for the week and whist his shiny Prefect badge was pinned to his lapel he was determined to take every responsibility seriously.

Turning the corner he inspected thoroughly the last few lingering students hanging about in the hallway.
To his left the a pair of younger Hufflepuff’s who always found the time to smooch the faces off each other in public rather than in their own common room. Whatever the vibrant, confident red haired Marissa Roberts ever saw in the pathetic drip of a nerd Martin Summers he didn't know, maybe it was his magical creatures magnetism. Sniggering as he past Heath joked to himself that it wasn't likely.

To his right in the open doorway he gave a smooth, confident, silent smirk to a small first year Ravenclaw. Would suck to be their house at the moment when they not only were bottom of the Quidditch inter house table but bottom in the house points as well. Yes!
Passing by still lavishing the glory of the first Quidditch match of the season where his best friend and Quidditch house captain now dubbed ‘Sporus’ (Sporky was too childish and rhymed with too many things) had smashed the Raves in a 200-0 epic victory, Heath hadn’t expected the 3rd door along the corridor to open and out walk another student weighed down with a tall pile of textbooks.

Stumbling accidently into the slim built female student with delicately styled hair, he sent the pile of books cascading to the floor with an unexpected clatter.

“I’m sorry” He began, enthusiastically apologising whilst thrusting his wavy mop of fallen hair out of his eyes “I should have been watching where I was going”.

Whilst not expecting the young woman to say anything, he swiftly gathered up three nearest books before observing their titles: Occulmency, Legilimancy... these weren’t on the usual curriculum reading lists, especially someone younger then he was. She must be smart.

“Here...” he finished, offering them out to her as she adjusted her glasses and stood up straight with her other collected belongings. “Again I am very sorry...May I offer to carry them for you?”

Or I can totally rewrite it if you would rather they met on the train/evening formal. Up to you...

Aww hey Chris, lovely you could drop by and see us. Tommy and I only a while ago said to each other that we hadn't seen you around anywhere and hoped you were well. We are doing ok here, we got a new thread up and going but it's been quite quiet of late I think we've just all been bitten by the busy bug. By posting here means you've remembered you are always welcome to join in and hang out with us on chat. Have missed you a lot
