'In the Meantime...Something for Fun' Cont..

As Juliet walked away, Seth could tell she was hurting, and so was he. He didn't know why his 'Juliet' was so hollow sounding. Everything was just coming to a head. Dropping down to his knees, Seth just started to let it out. He couldn't fight to hold the tears back anymore.

[Jazzie C]

'Katie, you don't have to hide your face from me you know. it's great to have some help around here' Jeyna said softly, sensing the girl's nervousness. 'I'm Jey Garland, yeah, i'm the new transfiguration teacher. D'you want me to get rid of those bruises?' she asked, smiling.

Lia looked up at Alex. She'd never realised quite how small she was till now. She stuck her hand out, people so rarely shook hands anymore, but she liked to. 'Nice to meet you.' she said, smiling. She wasnt really sure what she was doing there. she hoped they'd like her, but she'd never admit it.

[Nicci]

Katie tried to smile but instantly touched her face when the professor mentioned the marks on her face. Each bruise wasn’t just there by accident, each one although just a yellow blemish covered a deep emotional scar as a result of unnecessary abuse.
“Thank you but...” she began sincerely in a reply “I’ll be alright..”.
Katie knew the professor was only trying to be kind but such scars couldn’t be healed by magic alone.
“It’s nice to meet you professor...”

Gen looked up and smiled at Liana interacting with Alex but didn’t introduce herself as she was waiting for an answer from Lyn.

'Okay, and its nice to meet you too' Said Jey, sensing she should leave the conversation there. 'but...if you ever need a friend, or even just a space to be alone, you know where i am. I'm good at disappearing.' she smiled. 'So, you nervous bout being here? good with annoying teenagers with wand envy?' She chuckled to herself.

Alex smiled and shook Lia's hand. "Its nice to meet you too." He wasn't sure what to ask next. Alex couldn't figure out why he was drawing a blank.

[Thomas]

Lyn hesitated for a moment... 'what if Heather was right? Well... there was only one way to find out for certain', She grabbed onto Gen's hand, as she reached the top "Thank you. Fitting in?" confused she looked down at her waist, placing both her hands flat against her stomach "I think they fit ok?"

Lia looked up at Alex's face and sighed internally. 'So I think I need to pick up some books befoer i go to transfig...' she said trailing off... People were always awkward around her...in fairness, she did always hide under trees looking wistful...a habit she'd have to break. She clutched her notebook tighter, her knuckles whitening.

[Nicci]

Katie was surprised with the professor’s choice of phrasing and stumbled over her reply “No..I mean..yes..well..very actually..and that’s very kind of you to offer but there’s not a problem, I mean It’s not a problem..I’m just not very good on first days. I accidently let 28 pygmy puff’s escape in my last job on my first day..that was quite the disaster when they got hold of too much popping candy”.
Frowning at the thought she muttered a quite “Poor things” before returning her gaze to notice the positive expressions on the professors face.
Having someone who was a caring influence would certainly help the day go easier on her.

Placing a friendly hand on Lyn’s shoulder, Gen realised the slight confusion behind the question she had just asked. Trying not to come across condescendingly she carefully rephrased herself.
“You look perfect in black and green, don’t worry... I wondered if you were making friends ok? Do you like the school?”

Having gathered up both sets of belongings, Lance carried the excess pile of Juliet’s textbooks back towards the castle pondering on route the reasoning’s for wanting to read some of the ridiculous titles. ‘1001 uses for the everyday pondweed’ ‘Aquatica Aquatica Vol 2: For when Vol. 1 wasn’t enough’ ‘The Seven C’s Vol.6: Cataloguing for the underwater magizoologist’... The list just went on.
Unaware of the result of Juliet’s brief meeting with Seth, he entered the building with the help of a young Ravenclaw and passed down the familiar set of hallways.
Maybe today would be a good day to catch up with Shawn and potentially even catch a quick glimpse of Miss Veron-Browne.

'Well, I'm sure we can break the cycle for bad first days...hopefully you wont turn anyone into a parrot itoday.' she said grinning. 'Class time will be starting soon, the impending doom cometh.' Jey said, ominously. ' I believe we have seventh years this period. they should be okay.' She sounded uncertain, but kept smiling all the same.

[Nicci]

Stepping further into the room, Katie prayed secretly to herself that no parrot incidents would occur as she ran her hand over the front row of desks as she walked in the direction of the professor.
The seventh years would certainly be ‘ok’ to tutor but they would be the most likely ones to remember her from when she was a student.
Hearing footsteps in the corridor, she jerked her head and felt her heat beat quicken. What if Seth happened to be in the class? How would she be able to take her eyes away from him?

Blushing at the memory of awakening in the infirmary staring up at his bright blue eyes, her thoughts got quickly shattered back down to earth at the sound of the professor moving objects around. As harsh as reality seemed, this wasn’t the fourth year of school anymore; both of them had grown up, been torn apart and now they stood even further divided.

Jey looked concerned. 'Are you okay?' She asked her quietly as they became side by side. Jey frowned. Katie seemed to have gone off into her own little world. 'First days are daunting, if you at any point actually want to turn someone into a parrot, then please, by all means run into my office and cool off.' she joked, but she still looked concerned. She bit her lip and stopped talking, she didnt want to say anything stupid. She remembered being a student, and although it was a fair amount of time ago, she still felt the need to joke about everything, just like she had when she was younger.

Erin flung her bag down on the class desk, she was worried. Practise had went horribly, the whole team lacked direction, and talk of Olli's fall had reached them. 'What if it happened again?' they'd asked 'He mightn't be so lucky next time'. As she took her books out she nibbled at the edge of her finger tip, Olli really wasn't being himself today. She needed to have a chat with some of the others... see if they had noticed. Erin noticed a young assistant looking awkward at the front of class, and frowned... 'why did she look so familiar?' she didn't look much older than them and looked very nervous, perhaps she had met her at a party or something...

Jey hopped up onto the edge of her desk and sat there, waiting for her students to arrive. there was still a little time before class, but if one student was already here, the others would be arriving soon.

[Chris]

As Peter flew back to the right-side of the castle, he saw Seth on the ground. Flying down and then transforming back, Peter placed his hand on Seth's shoulder. Somehow, he knew that only one thing would cause Seth to break down like this, and he wasn't about bring it up.

Seth sniffled, and sighed. Peter suggested, 'let's get you inside. I need my books, and it might be good to wash your face too." Peter started to pull Seth up gently, so Seth can keep up with him. Many shoulders have been dislocated due to Peter's pulling too hard.

Seth started to walk, and Peter pulled him back. "We need to hurry if we're going to the tower first." With a flash of flame, Peter and Seth are enveloped with flames and are just then, inside their dormitory. While there, Peter gets his books and Seth cleans himself up. Once ready, they head to transfiguration. Entering the classroom, they just see Erin and the Professor with the new TA. Seth wasn't expecting to see Katie in her new role so soon. He smiled and gave a wave to Katie. Peter pulled Seth to a set of a few empty chairs. They took their seat.

Alex nodded and said, "I might need to get mine too." <I wonder where Peter and Seth are off doing.> Shrugging, Alex looked to the others and suggested, "I need my book." He was ready to head out when everyone else was.

Katie was too preoccupied watching the professor to notice Erin enter the room and take her seat. Nodding in reply to the question she was being asked, she found it hard to even want to make a joke of the current situation she now found herself in.

Unaware of Erin’s preoccupied thoughts about Olli, Katie froze wide eyed and stiff as Seth and Peter entered the room. Seeing Seth raise his hand to wave, she couldn’t help but stare as an uneasy wave of nervousness came over her.
Now dreading the prospect of having to stand up in front of him for at least an hour, Katie lost her summoned courage and quickly headed for the door.
