'In the Meantime...Something for Fun' Cont..

[Nicci]

Frowning sadly, Juliet rubbed her left eye in frustration. Why did Peter always have to have a nose in everyone else’s business? Obviously it wasn’t enough to be just the centre of attention all the time.
“Seth, I trust you... Even if recently I’ve been left in the dark about secret meetings and whatever else you and your happy cluster of pals are doing. Lately it feels like I’m involved with both you and Peter..if he’s not being a persistent pain in my side, glaring at me and judging me with a disapproving look.. You’re talking nonstop about how amazing he is and how he’s such great a friend..”
“Did it not cross your mind that I might like to have somebody like that as a friend?...... Lance may not be Peter Perfect but at least he doesn’t wince at the thought of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them”

Clenching her teeth together in dismay, it was clear to her that Seth had already made an ultimatum decision. “If you really can’t be without Peter then that’s up to you, but I will carry on being myself whether you both approve or not”.

Letting her hand slip down from his wrist and brush past his fingers, Juliet was tempted to clasp hands with him but refrained herself from doing so.
“If you can’t trust me then....” she began sorrowfully feeling a lump well up in the back of her throat “...I can’t be a part of this anymore”.

Nodding to Alex, Gen stepped aside and whole heartily waved to the Ravenclaw student standing under the tree. “Come over and join us” she yelled instinctively without thinking about any possible consequences.

[Chris]

Seth listened to her words, and sighed when she mentioned about his ultimatum decision. Speaking out, he added as she walked off, "I'm sorry that you are being left out of our stuff. I don't know why Peter is giving those looks. Maybe he knows something...I don't know." Dropping to the ground, Seth wasn't sure what to say anymore. Usually he was never the jealous type. Usually, he wasn't this unsure either.

He let his back fall to the ground as he just thought about the recent events. 'Maybe I could talk to Katie about this,' he thought to himself.

Seth couldn't help but feel lost. He and Juliet had been dating for a while now. Through thick and thin, they were together. Now, both appear to have secrets and now they may be breaking up, or have broken up.

Alex waited for the Ravenclaw student to approach them.

[Nicci]

Looking over her shoulder, Juliet winced at the sight of Seth in emotional distress tugged hard at her heartstrings. The right thing to do would have been to keep a hard exterior and walk away but she couldn’t do it.
Retracing her steps, she stood before him down on his knees. He needed to be stronger..
Without saying anything, she placed her arms around him and pulled with all her strength Seth back up onto his feet until they were back looking at each other at eye level.

[Chris]

Seth was laying there for what seemed like an eternity but was only a matter of two to three minutes. He could feel someone pulling him up. After being pulled up, he saw Juliet was looking at him as he was looking at her.

"I'm sorry that I can't say what I've been doing in the secret meetings. Due to this, I can't ask for but the same from you...you have the right to be secretive in what you are doing."

So many things were pulling on his focus, that he wasn't sure where to start by asking. He settled on the statement above.

[Nicci]

Having to agree, Juliet hated the thought of not being able to tell Seth the main problem behind the way she’d had been acting. One secret covered another that covered another and the further involved she got the worse her past mistakes felt. He didn’t deserve to be on the receiving end and whatever he was hiding was probably miniscule in comparison.
“I wish I could just be me again...” she muttered, feeling tear s well up in the very corners of her eyes “I wish we could be honest with each other like we used to be but...Until then maybe taking a break from each other will ease this unnecessary pressure”.

[Chris]

While he hated to admit it, Seth had to agree. "I agree. It pains me, but you are right." He lowered his head as he felt tears in his rarely teary eyes.

[Thomas]

Lyn grinned happily as she saw Gen smiling down at her, waving happily, she grabbed her books and shoved them into her leather satchel, she had been looking out for Gen, but with all the fuss at hogsmeade and all the new english names to learn had forgotten her name. Grabbing her satchel she got to her feet, Gen was with the boy from the inn… what was his name… Grinning happily she called out to them “It is very good to see you” she beamed as she started up the bank, sun heating her shoulders as she touched the grass to stop herself from slipping. She heard Gen call over to someone else, a girl who’d been sitting not far from herself, she blushed furiously, she should have remembered what the slytherins had told her one day in herbology
***flashback***
“So you can’t remember their names?” The tall thin girl with dark lanky hair asked her… while snipping away at a sundew. Her name was Heather, she was quiet, and clingy, but had made Lyn feel welcome and was very helpful with her english.
“No” Lyn said frowning hard trying to remember “I think they said they were in gryffydoor”
“It’s Gryffindor” Heather corrected nodding her head, but scowling with distaste.
“Oh… sorry” Lyn apologised, setting down her clippers “It is very hard to say for me”
“No, no it’s not that” Heather said smiling brightly “It’s just…” her smile faded as she tried to explain “Gryffindors don’t like us slytherins Lyn. They think we are bad people”
Lyn frowned “But we are friends, I have only been nice to them”, upset at the idea they might reject her “We are not bad people, you are good, good to me”
Heather touched her arm “It’s not your fault Lyn. It’s just always been that way… oh don’t cry Lyn, you still have me” she murmured closing her in a tight embrace.

[Nicci]

Biting her bottom lip to stop it trembling, Juliet raised her hand gently to Seth’s cheek and wiped away the nearest tear with the back of her index finger.
“You’ll..You’ll be fine.. without me for a while..I know it hurts..But I do still care about you” she spoke sadly on the verge of breaking into sobs.
As a small trickle dropped down from her eyes, she placed one hand on Seth’s cheek and hugged him tightly.

Turning Back to Lyn, Gen continued to beam her over enthusiastic friendly grin.
“It’s good to see you too” she began, offering out her hand to help her up the bank. “Are you fitting in ok?”

[Jazzie C]

Liana hesitantly got up from her spot and blinked in the bright sunlight in cntrasst to the shade under the tree. she walked over to them clutching her notebook to her chest like a protective shield. She hoped they didnt think she was strange. she smiled in what she hoped looked like a carefree expression and joined them. 'Hi, I'm Lia.' She said.

[Jazzie C]

Jeyna Garland Walked briskly down the huge hallways of hogwarts towards the transfiguration room - her new teaching post. She was young for a teacher at Hogwarts, just 25, but she'd gone through her time here quickly and passed the teaching courses and degrees within about two years. she had very long, waving brown hair and tan skin, with exotic looking green eyes. she had quite a willowy figure, and had a sense of authority about her. Today was the day she'd meet the assistant. She wasnt sure what to expect.

'you can come in you know,' she called to the girl outside the door. She leaned against a desk, waiting.

[Nicci]

Hearing a woman’s voice calling her into the room, Katie turned around quickly and anxiously began playing with a few strands of her long ginger hair.
“I...I...I was going to knock..” she stuttered, stepping away from the window. Walking a few steps towards the door frame Katie noticed the professor and was instantly taken back by her youthful appearance. “Are you the professor?... I’m Katie Weasley. The headmaster has allowed me help out around the school for a while..”

Waiting to hear a reply, Katie tried to hide her bandages with her sleeves but the yellow remains of bruises were still visible on her face.

(I'll see if Chris, introduces his character to Liana first, if not I will after)

[Chris]

Alex smiled and said, "Hi Lia. My name is Alex." He didn't think anything of her holding her book across her chest like that.

Seth hugged Juliet, and let go. Emotions were never a strong point for him. He usually didn't show them. He couldn't help it here though.

Peter dove and then flew up as he took to the sky.

[Nicci]

Feeling rejected, Juliet stood frozen momentarily as Seth pulled away from her. What could she say?..Nothing could express how she was feeling and nothing could be said to make the silence seem any better.
“I have to probably go to class now..Take care Seth” she spoke grimly, keeping her head held low as she slowly turned and began to take a few steps away from him.

[Chris]

Seth looked down and said, "take care, Juliet." This was a very hard thing for him to do. Taking a breath in, he let it out and then more than ever, needed to find Katie.

[Nicci]

Not able to hold back the surge of tears any longer at the sound of Seth calling her by full name, Juliet fled across the grass not willing to look back. It felt so cold and hollow coming from him this time, nothing like when he called her by a pet nickname. Even ‘Jules’ had more affection behind it...

Not ready to face anybody, Juliet hurried towards the castle in a partial daze. The thing she had been trying to fight off doing the most was falling into place without her given consent. It made the matter ten times worse that she had been forced to suggest the awful idea and every moment she was away from Seth, Tommy was getting exactly what he wanted.
Annoyed at herself, she threw her clench fist against the door frame before levering the heavy chunk of wood open letting herself back into the castle.

Even in the midst of emotional distress there was a clear thing Juliet was certainly aware of. Getting to class looking like nothing had happened was critical. If rumours got around the school about her apparently ‘temporary break’ from Seth things would quickly start to unravel themselves and all hope could be lost in repairing the damage.
