Yes it's the dreaded timeline!!! dun, dun, dun!

So to save my waffling alone in the chat box I did a bit of digging as a result of Tom's question to the plot of the Order of the Phoenix.
'What Wizarding war?" As this is mainly Lozzy backstory and in character Bio Leilani is born in 1995 things have considerably squished and condensed themselves down from our 'no date out there'.
However with the proposed date of 1995 making us presently 2012 with the seventh years at 17 it could work but we'd have to be a bit more considerate about areas that could touch canon. The 2nd wizarding war can be as it is in 2nd May 1998.

Maybe it is time to work ourselves to an approximate timeline (give or take a day as 11/09/12 is a Tuesday and not Wednesday)

If we take 2012 ish then the only real major overlap is with the elder characters Heath, Sporus and any parents. In any case with Heath and Sporus:
-They'd have to be born ~1972
-Left Hogwarts a year before Harry joined
-At the time of the Wizarding War would have been 26 and any related characters have been alive about 3 years. This makes them about 40 at present.

I think we just clip that our characters are in their final year whilst James II, Lily II are still infants. So we don't encounter them PHEW!

Maybe I'll add to this tomorrow what does everyone think?

I was thinking that maybe Sporus and Heath founded the third organisation somewhere (1999-2000) if not earlier after Kingsley Shacklebolt dissolves the 2nd in late 1998. I will have to have a chat with Lozzy and run some ideas about past events that could have occurred between the two gentlemen as their lives are quite intertwined. She also knows my intended plot.

I think we only know at the moment that the current third Order are divided in two, though it might not be admitted.

Sporus heads the third order we don't know where their location is yet. They are keen to track down former death eaters of Voldemort even if they haven't committed recent crimes. Death to all really there who chose to go against the magical community.
Maybe Lozzy has ulterior motives for him in his position.

Heath/Nell/Bill & Clarke are a broken off segment of Sporus's Order. They receive mission orders from a higher person like Sporus does (Possibly a connection in the Ministry?) but usually choose to carry out the plan more ethically. This could be why the contact usually favours Sporus's Order to quickly execute the charged.
Headquarters are top floor 13, Manette Street (Even on google as an office to let).

Katie as a character with a family canon connection becomes a bit muddled with the timeline change but maybe we will have to ignore it. I plan to have her family abandon her anyway near Christmas so we wont have to worry about them for very long.

I don't think the OotP ever officially was disbanded.
"In the aftermath of the war, the Order was presumably disbanded once and for all" seems more like speculation to me. I think we could just say that over time as members left, control shifted into the hands of the more bitter members, who held stronger beliefs and the people who stayed did so due to close personal reasons for staying.

This is what I am currently working on for Heath and the relation to canon stuff. If anyone wants to add things just edit. (please bear in mind I hate timelines my date values are quite rough for ITM activities)

Timeline:
1947 – Dianna & Mayne Born
1957/8 - Dianna & Mayne start Hogwarts
1964/5 – Dianna & Mayne graduate from Hogwarts
- Dianna becomes an employee at the Owl Post Office
- Mayne starts training to be a Hit Wizard for the Ministry’s Law Enforcement
1962 – 1968 Mayne works & trains at the Ministry
1968/9- Dianna & Mayne Marry
1970’s – Dumbledore founds 1st Order of the Phoenix. Voldemort rises to power
1972/73 - Dianna & Mayne have Heath @26. Mayne leaves Dianna & young Heath and becomes a Death Eater
1981 – 1st Order of the Phoenix Dissolved. Voldemort loses power/ Harry lives
1984 – Heath starts Hogwarts
1991 - Heath graduates from Hogwarts
1992 – Heath meets Evangeline
1995 - Heath & Evangeline Marry
1995 – Harry & the 2nd Order of the Phoenix forms
1995/6 – Heath’s son is born? / Evangeline Killed. ITM characters are born.
1997 – Albus Dumbledore Dies

I've had a go as you asked putting in the major events for OOTP/AFS into the timeline. Have left a few questions at the bottom that I couldn't answer from your original Nell bio but I know you'll get round to adding them in the new one.

1999/2000 -
** Current OOTP still activated in gaining information about former Death Eaters and their present habits. Heath has little working connection with the Ministry and has become the ‘joke’ of the remaining OOTP members who have elected Sporus (Possibly also someone above him) to be the new leader. **

2006 – ITM Characters start Hogwarts

** The OOTP no longer follow true and just methods for trialling & imprisoning former followers of Voldemort. Heath is majorly outnumbered with his just view points but refuses to leave the order and is ridiculed and left alone until Sporus/Higher person sends him orders or cast off recruits.**

May/June 2012 - Anabel and Marcus King, both devoted Death Eaters killed by ‘OOTP’ leaving Cynthia King (5 years) alive. Clarke Wilson was on this ‘failed’ mission to kill the family orders came from Sporus.
Sept 2012 – CURRENT ITM/OOTP TIME IN PLOT.
- Clarke is ‘kicked out’ of Sporus’s Order – demoted to Heath’s side.
- Nell’s house is vandalised and the culprits after her. Steal her wand.
- Enchanted Ravenclaw Girl on the loose, Vixie believes the OOTP are planning another attack.
- Phoenix/Dragon plot??? Does Peter save the world? No idea…my plots seem very elaborate ><
- Heath/Sporus related to Lance??? Still no idea... “I am your father Lance…I mean Luke” ><
2013 – ITM Characters graduate from Hogwarts

Need Info-
* Nell trained as an auror for the ministry of magic. (Three years 1992-1995?)
*Nell then moved to the continent and worked as a freelance auror for several years before returning to the UK with Damien. (How long was she gone for?)
*A chance encounter with Heath resulted in Nell joining the Order of the Phoenix. (Post 2000? Did she join when the 3rd OOTP was combined or spit with just Heath?)
*She currently works in the Investigation Department of the Auror Office. (Did she rejoin when she moved back to the UK with Damien? Who is the Special K eating Damien!!!!)
* Bill in general is very vague – can loosely plot birth to end of Hogwarts but that’s about it. Bill had an incident with Sporus ‘demoting him’ but have no idea when or what it was about?
